Happenstance capture of a dove flying into a beam of sunlight, away from its partner and their shaded temporary roost on a rainwater hopper. It had launched out from under the gaze of the two fierce creatures on either side and the threat from above of a demonic gargoyle. This all took place at roof level, in a busy section of the town centre of Colchester, UK.

Along the way. I'm a UK-based artist and designer. Most of my output these days is photography- and computer-based; many images having been developed digitally to bring them to point where they are more than just a record of light passing through a lens. I'm still learning from my mistakes, as well as by examining the work of other artist's that I admire. For the last three decades or more, I've worked from home in a small riverside village, close to an abundance of countryside thick with woods and great walks to share with my dog. Creating imagery is a strong passion; something that gets me up in the morning when the sun breaks up the night, and later, something that keeps me up until the early morning hours, when I just can't leave...
